Four people were injured in a gas explosion in a residential building in Petrozavodsk. About it on January 6 reports the management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Karelia.

"In Petrozavodsk in the apartment of a five-storey building collapsed the interior wall due to a gas-air mixture flap. There was no fire. Four people were injured, two of them were extracted from under the rubble by the Russian Emergencies Ministry," - said in the Telegram-channel of the department.

As Izvestia was informed in the republican department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, an investigator went to the scene of the incident and an inspection is being conducted.

Earlier, on January 6, a person was injured in a domestic gas explosion, which occurred in a closed cafe "Arkobaleno", located in the Karelian town of Sortavala. The victim received burns to his hand, he received medical assistance.
