The governor reported shooting down air targets in the skies over the Belgorod region

Air Defense Forces (ADF) shot down several air targets over Belgorod and Belgorod district. This was reported by the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov on January 6.

"In Belgorod district in the village of Tavrovo in two private houses windows were broken out, facades, roofs and fences were damaged. Also a passenger car was slashed with shrapnel," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. Information about the consequences is being clarified.

On the eve of the air defense forces destroyed four Ukrainian drones over Belgorod and Kursk regions. It is specified that the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) of the enemy were shot down within two hours - from 11:00 to 13:00 Moscow time.

Earlier in the day, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that a man was injured as a result of an attack by an AFU drone on a moving car. He was transported to a medical facility with a mine blast injury and a dislocated shoulder.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
