In Moscow, fraudsters have deceived a 75-year-old woman, stealing 17.9 million rubles from her in three months. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office on January 6.

It is known that the fraudster called the pensioner on behalf of a bank employee and said that a loan was allegedly issued in her name. The woman trusted the attacker and gave him all the money in the accounts and savings, including those set aside for funeral services. The Muscovite was assured that the money would be returned after catching the person who tried to apply for a loan.

In addition, the fraudster said that someone allegedly formalized the sale of her apartment and the only way to save the housing called its sale and transfer of money to a "safe" account.

At the final stage, the attacker persuaded the pensioner to borrow 800 thousand rubles and give it to the courier. After the fraudster stopped contacting her.

Preobrazhenskaya inter-district prosecutor's office is keeping under control the establishment of persons involved in the theft of funds.

Earlier, on January 2, the press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office reported that the fraudsters stole more than 87 million rubles from the pensioner for two months. It is established that the attackers made a call on behalf of employees of the pension fund allegedly to verify personal data, as a result of which the victim was forced to name the access code to "Gosusluga" received by SMS.
