Cloudy with clearings, mostly without precipitation, icy conditions - this is the weather expected by residents of the capital region on Monday, January 6. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow during the day will vary from -5 to -3 degrees. At night, the thermometer columns will drop to -7.

In Moscow region during the day forecasters promise from -7 to -2 degrees, at night the temperature may fall to -10.

Southwest and south wind with a speed of 5-10 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will be 748-749 mm of mercury column.

Earlier, on January 4, it was reported that a powerful Arctic intrusion is expected in Central Russia in mid-January. In the middle and southern latitudes of the European part of Russia, the temperature anomaly may exceed -2 degrees. In addition, in the north of the Far East, January is expected to be colder, a negative temperature anomaly of -1... -3 degrees. However, it was clarified that February will start with warm weather.

At the same time, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that in the south of the European part of Russia and Western Siberia is expected heavy rain, turning into snow, and a drop in temperature, a similar situation in the Kaliningrad region, in the center of European Russia will be heavy icing.
