Investigators have opened a criminal case over the death of several people in a fire in an apartment building in the village of Kilmez, Kilmez district, Kirov region. This was reported on January 6 in the press service of the regional investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"A criminal case has been initiated on the signs of a crime under part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons"), on the fact of death of local residents as a result of fire", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

The agency noted that it was possible to save four local residents, they were evacuated from the scene. The exact number of people killed in the fire is being established.
