Six people, including four children, were injured in an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the head of the military-civil administration of Kharkiv region Vitaly Ganchev on January 5.

"A Ukrainian FPV drone attacked a car of civilians in the liberated territory of Kharkiv region. There were four children and two adults in the car. All received injuries of varying degrees of severity," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Ganchev also said that the victims were taken to hospitals in the Belgorod region. Russian doctors are fighting for their lives, he specified.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported 11 downed UAVs of the Ukrainian army over Belgorod and Kursk regions. Air Defense Forces (FPD) shot down nine more drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over these regions.

In the Belgorod region, a Ukrainian FPV drone attacked agricultural machinery, resulting in the driver being injured. He was given the necessary medical care.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
