Child injured in AFU attack on Rostov region

A seven-year-old child has been injured in an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Rostov Region. This was reported on January 5 by Yuri Slyusar, the acting governor of the region.

"Unfortunately, as a result of a night air attack in the Neklinovsky district, a child of seven years old was injured. He was injured while in one of the houses damaged due to the fall of UAV debris," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Slyusar said that the boy was hospitalized in one of the hospitals in Taganrog, where he received medical care. His life is not threatened at the moment, clarified the Rostov region governor's proxy.

Earlier in the day, the governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that a Ukrainian FPV drone attacked agricultural machinery on the road section Cheremoshnoye - Nikolskoye, as a result of which the driver was injured. He was given the necessary medical care.

On January 5, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed 61 AFU drones over five Russian regions. Of these, 37 UAVs were eliminated over the Rostov region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
