Agricultural machinery driver injured in AFU drone attack in Belgorod region
Another drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has attacked Belgorod Region, wounding the driver of agricultural equipment. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on January 5.
"On the section of the highway Cheremoshnoye - Nikolskoye FPV-drone attacked agricultural machinery. The driver was wounded. The man with shrapnel wounds to the hands and legs was transported by hitchhiking to the city hospital No. 2 of Belgorod," he indicated in his Telegram-channel.
Medics are providing the injured man with all the necessary assistance. The technique on which he was moving, as a result of the impact of the drone caught fire.
In addition, in the village of Krutoy Log after the destruction of the drone damaged the roof of a residential house, Gladkov added. Information on the consequences is being clarified. Operational services are working at the scene of the emergency.
Earlier on January 5, Gladkov said that Ukrainian drones attacked three settlements in Belgorod region. He pointed out that in the town of Graivoron, as a result of the dropping of an explosive device from a drone, the glazing of a building was damaged, and in the village of Gora Podol the windows in an apartment were broken. Two cars caught fire in the village of Nizhneye Berezovo, and two more cars were damaged.
At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry noted that air defense forces destroyed five Ukrainian drones over the territory of Belgorod and Kursk regions in two hours, from 10:00 to 12:00 (Moscow time).
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
