In Voronezh Region, buildings of two enterprises were damaged when downed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev, on January 3.
He noted that the on-duty air defense forces (ADF) and electronic warfare (REB) means detected and shot down several drones.
"When the suppressed UAVs fell, the buildings of two enterprises received minor damage," the governor wrote in his Telegram channel.
Gusev specified that according to preliminary data, no one was injured, and added that operational services are working at the scene of the incident.
Earlier, on January 2, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 13 Ukrainian UAVs over five Russian regions overnight.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
