A civilian was injured when an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the village of Yasniye Zori in Belgorod Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on January 3.

"An AFU drone attacked the village of Yasniye Zori in Belgorod district. A civilian was wounded. The man with a mine blast injury and a leg wound in serious condition is taken by ambulance brigade to the city hospital No. 2 of Belgorod. Belgorod. The victim is provided with all the necessary assistance," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

As Gladkov pointed out, information about the consequences of the attack is being clarified. Services and administration will conduct a round in daylight hours.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) destroyed 22 drones of the Ukrainian army over six Russian regions during the night. Ten drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, four each over the Orel and Rostov regions, two over the territory of the Belgorod region, and one drone each was destroyed over the Volgograd and Lipetsk regions.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
