Air defense forces destroyed four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Rostov region overnight. This was reported on January 3 by Yuri Slyusar, the region's acting governor.

"Last night the forces and means of air defense in Kamensky and Ust-Donetsky districts destroyed four UAVs," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

As noted Slyusar, operational services reported that there are no casualties and destruction on the ground.

Earlier, on January 2, the governor of the Orel region, Andrei Klychkov, said that air defense forces had destroyed four Ukrainian drones over the region. According to him, there are no casualties or damage as a result of the attack, and operational services are working on the spot.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
