The governor of the Bryansk region reported the destruction of five Ukrainian UAVs

Air defense forces have destroyed five Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on January 3.

"Five aircraft-type drones have been detected and destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Bogomaz specified that there were no casualties or damage, and operational and emergency services are working on the site.

Earlier, on January 2, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed seven Ukrainian UAVs over four regions of Russia. It is specified that two drones each were destroyed over the Belgorod, Bryansk and Orel regions, one - over the Kursk region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
