One person was injured when the AFU shelled a village in Kursk region
One person was injured in an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the village of Ivanovskoye in Rylskyy district of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on January 2.
Earlier in the day, Alexander Khinshtein, the interim governor of Kursk Region, said that the AFU had launched a missile attack on the village of Ivanovskoye.
"As a result, one person was injured, also significant damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure," reads the report published in the Telegram-channel of the IC.
It is established that Ukrainian militants launched a missile strike on the settlement, where there were civilians, using remote means of fire.
"In the course of the preliminary investigation will be established and brought to criminal responsibility representatives of armed formations of Ukraine, involved in this crime," - added in the agency.
Shortly before that, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation also opened a criminal case under the article on a terrorist attack after the shelling of the Rylsk district of the Kursk region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
