The governor of the Bryansk region reported the destruction of UAVs over the region

Air defense forces destroyed a drone over the territory of Bryansk region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on January 2.

"An aircraft-type UAV was detected and destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region by air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Bogomaz specified that there were no casualties and damage as a result of the attack, the operational and emergency services are working on the site.

Earlier, on January 1, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 14 Ukrainian UAVs over five regions of the Russian Federation. It is specified that two drones were destroyed over Belgorod Region, four - over Voronezh Region, five - over Rostov Region, two - over Tula Region and one - over Orel Region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
