Moscow has won more than 60 IT awards over the year

Moscow holds leading positions in Russia and the world in the field of digitalization, which has been repeatedly confirmed by domestic and international experts. Deputy Mayor Natalya Sergunina told about it, noting that last year the capital's agencies and IT projects were honored with more than 60 profile awards.

"Moscow is consistently following the path of development of a smart city. Special attention is now paid to developments based on artificial intelligence. Modern technologies, which we introduce, help in many issues both residents and business community", - said Sergunina.

According to her, among the winners of prestigious awards in 2024 - "digital solutions in the field of entrepreneurship, medicine, creative industries, transportation, tourism and cultural and historical heritage". More than 300 IT projects are realized in the capital every year, more than 90 of which use artificial intelligence, she added.

Last year Moscow was honored with the World Innovation Award in the category "Sustainable Cities and Communities" for the introduction of advanced technologies, including digital ones. This award is given for the contribution to the achievement of the UN sustainable development goals.

Also, for the second year in a row, the Russian capital became the leader among BRICS megacities in terms of technological and spatial development. International experts appreciated the high availability of urban services for residents and the introduction of innovations.

In addition, in 2024, the Moscow Mayor's project "Leaders of Digital Transformation" became the winner of the international award in the field of modern technologies Global Innovation & Tech Excellence Awards. The program was noted in the nomination "Public-Private Partnership".

The project makes it possible to solve urgent problems of the city, other regions and the business community, create jobs and improve the qualifications of IT specialists.
