Kursk region authorities reported massive rocket fire on Rylsk
The town of Rylsk, Kursk Region, has been subjected to a massive rocket attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on Friday, December 20, by Alexander Khinshtein, the region's acting governor.
"The AFU is launching a missile attack on the city of Rylsk. Ukrainian nationalists deliberately choose peaceful social facilities as their targets," he said in his Telegram channel.
Prime Minister Alexei Dedov and his deputies have been sent to the site. Operational services are working.
The authorities of the region will provide all the necessary assistance to the victims and their families.
Earlier, on December 16, the head of Belovo district of the region Nikolai Volobuev reported that two civilians of Kursk region were killed during the day as a result of attacks by Ukrainian drones on a section of the road Oboyan - Suja.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Kiev's "Kursk adventure" a crime against the Russian people, especially against civilians. The head of state noted that there is no sense in the actions of the Kiev regime in the border regions and the tasks of specialized bodies are to fix these crimes and punish those responsible.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the AFU units that invaded the Russian territory is underway.
