Child allowances for January will arrive from one day to the next: payment schedule
In the last month of 2024, many social payments will come in an increased amount due to the long January weekend. Due to the fact that most of the state organizations do not work on holidays, January payments will be postponed to the end of December. This also applies to benefits transferred from the state to parents for a child under the age of one and a half and three years, as well as pregnancy payments and universal single allowance. In addition, next year families will be able to receive more funds for child care, because child allowances and payments will be increased due to annual indexation, growth of the regional minimum wage and the maximum base for payment of insurance contributions. Child allowances in January 2025: schedule and amounts of payments
In Russia, there are a large number of measures to support Russians who are preparing to become parents or are already raising children. Many of them have a regular character and are paid monthly for several years. The schedule of these state payments depends on the production calendar, which provides for certain shifts of working days during the New Year holidays.
Since banks, post offices and the Social Fund will not be open during the long weekend - from December 29, 2024 to January 8, 2025 - state payments will be calculated on a different schedule. In December, child payments will come twice. At the beginning of the month parents have already accrued benefits for November, and at the end of the month - will be transferred at once for the whole of December.
Children's payments and allowances must arrive in the account by December 28, 2024. This applies to the unified child allowance and payments to pregnant women, the presidential allowance for children up to three years of age and child care allowance up to one and a half years of age.
There will be no social receipts in January 2025 because they will be transferred in advance in December. It is important to keep this in mind when planning your budget until early February, when the social funds will re-enter the account.
By how much and to whom child benefits will be increased in 2025
Next year, all social benefits will be traditionally increased following the cost of living through annual indexation. So, in 2024, the subsistence minimum per capita in Russia was 15,453 rubles, and from January 1, 2025 it will increase to 17,733 rubles.
From the beginning of next year, the maximum amount of monthly allowance for the care of a child under the age of one and a half years will be 68 thousand rubles, and the minimum - about 10 thousand rubles, while now the maximum amount of payment is 49 thousand rubles per month.
On February 1, 2025, the maternity capital will be indexed. Payment for the first child will amount to Br676 thousand, while for the second - Br894 thousand, if the maternity capital was not previously received at the birth of the firstborn.
In addition, as a result of the increase in the minimum wage ( minimum wage) from Br19.242 to Br22.440, the minimum maternity benefit will amount to Br103.285 for a period of 140 days.
Child allowances, which are assigned to low-income families, will also increase. In 2025, for one dependent under the age of 17 years it is planned to pay from 8600 rubles per month, and the minimum monthly payment to expectant mothers will be about 9660 rubles. For a child up to three years will be allocated a little more than 17 thousand rubles monthly.
When payments will come in February - 2025
The exact schedule of accrual of child payments and benefits in February 2025 will be approved by the Social Fund of Russia closer to the onset of the calculation month. Tentatively, in the first days of the month, starting from February 3, parents will begin to be paid:
- unified child allowance;
- funds for the first child up to the age of three;
- monthly allowance from the maternity capital for children up to three years of age;
- other regular social support payments for families with children.
Childcare allowance for children up to one and a half years old, which is paid to officially employed parents, will come on February 7, 2025. Other payments should be expected according to the schedule. The accrued funds will come for the previous month - January 2025.
