Putin approved the indexation of matkapital for 2025-2027

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, November 30, signed a law on the budget of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund for 2025-2027, according to which the maternity capital will be indexed by 7.3%. The corresponding document is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

The indexation will take place from February 1, 2025.

The total amount of payment will amount to 676,398 rubles. At the same time, in 2026 it is planned to increase the matkapital by another 4.5%, as a result of which it will amount to 706,836 rubles. In 2027, the payment will be indexed by 4% - up to 735,109 rubles.

If the second, third and subsequent child is born in the period from January 1, 2020, and the family has not previously received matkapital, the payment will amount to 893,835 rubles in 2025, in 2026 will be increased to 934,058 rubles, and in 2027 - to 971,420 rubles.

At the same time, the additional payment for the second in case of payment for the first will amount to Br217 thousand in 2025.

Earlier, November 24, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, Svetlana Bessarab said that in three years the payment for the second child would amount to Br1 million in case the matkapital for the first one had not been received. She reminded that the increase in the matkapital is calculated not from the forecast, but from the real size of inflation.

Prior to that, on October 31, it was reported that in Russia they want to increase the amount of payment of matcapital balances up to Br20 thousand, and the head of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov introduced such a bill in the State Duma. Now the amount of this payment is Br10 thousand. The authors of the bill believe that the increase in payment will give families more significant support against the background of rising prices for many goods and services.
