Squally wind and icy conditions: weather in Russia will worsen by the end of the week
November is coming to an end and the weather is becoming truly winter. The western part of Russia in late November will be under the influence of wave cyclones, which will bring rain, snow, gusty winds and lower temperatures. Deterioration of weather in the regions of Russia
According to the Hydrometeorological Center, in the coming days in some regions will have a strong impact on the Atlantic cyclone. Because of it until November 21 in the North-Western and Central regions, precipitation, in some places heavy, icy, as well as strong wind gusts (in some regions - up to 20 m / s) are expected. In the Far North the cyclone will bring snowstorms.
Warm wet weather with precipitation is expected in most parts of Siberia and the Urals. Wind gusts will be mainly 12-17 m/s, but in mountainous areas will reach 20 m/s.
Weather forecast in Moscow and the Central Federal District
On Wednesday, November 20, the morning of Muscovites began with snowfall. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also warned residents of the capital about wind gusts and ice. Precipitation at the same time did not end. In the second half of the day is expected wet snow, which will be replaced by rain.
According to "Yandex Weather", November 20 and 21 in Moscow is expected warm weather, up to +8 degrees. Everything will change already on Friday, the air temperature will fall to +1 degree, and on Sunday - to -2.
Hydrometeorological Center promises in the Central Federal District until the 23rd of moving from the southwest to the northeast of wave cyclones. Thus, November 21 in the region will be rain, in some places heavy, the amount of precipitation may reach 23 mm.
All this will be accompanied by squally wind gusts up to 20 m/s, and in the south - up to 23 m/s.
By the end of the working week, precipitation will continue in the form of rain and wet snow, and then heavy snowfalls. The wind in the south will reach 21 m/s. On Sunday, November 24, there may be temporary establishment of snow cover up to 12 cm high, as well as icy conditions. According to other data, ice and snow drifts of 3-5 cm are possible in the capital till the end of the week, which may not melt.
Weather in Kaliningrad region
The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced a storm warning for November 20 in Kaliningrad. According to forecasters, at about 4:00 a.m. the west and southwest wind will increase to 25-27 m/s.
Residents of the region were recommended to close windows and doors tightly on the windward side, avoid being in dangerous places: on bridges, overpasses, near advertising structures and power lines, as well as near trees. It is important not to park cars near them.
The Hydrometeorological Center also promises that until November 22 wind gusts in the Kaliningrad region will reach 15-20 m/s, and on the coast - up to 22-24 m/s.
Nevertheless, according to "Yandex Weather", heavy precipitation and wind are not expected there. The air temperature will rise to +5 degrees this afternoon, and for the rest of the week will vary from 0 to +4 degrees.
Snowfalls in the Murmansk region and the Nenets Autonomous District
According to the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center, from November 21 in the Murmansk region precipitation will become more intense, they will be accompanied by gusty winds up to 20 m / s, as well as snowstorms. On Friday, the 22nd, heavy snowfall may begin at night, and snowstorms will persist.
In the Nenets Autonomous District weather deterioration may occur on November 22. In the afternoon there may be heavy snowfalls, and wind gusts will be 15-20 m/s. Together with heavy precipitation will come warming. November 20, it is expected to be about 6-9 degrees below zero, and by the weekend the air will warm up to -2.
What weather will be in the Leningrad region and Karelia?
In the coming days, moderate precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain is predicted in the Leningrad region. However, today, November 20, they may become heavy. On Thursday, November 21, the weather may worsen: there may be a build-up of wet snow, snowstorms, wind gusts up to 15-18 m/s.
According to "Yandex Weather", until the end of the working week, the air temperature during the day in St. Petersburg will be above zero - up to +2 degrees Celsius. On Saturday and Sunday it may drop to -2 degrees.
Until November 21, heavy snowfalls are expected in Karelia, wind gusts may reach 20 m/s, but already on November 22, the situation will improve. According to the forecast, until November 23, the air temperature there will vary from +1 to -1 degrees. However, on Sunday it is expected to cool down to -4 degrees in the afternoon.
Weather in Vladivostok: whether to expect colder weather
At the beginning of the week it got sharply cold in Primorye, the temperature in some areas dropped to -25 degrees Celsius. But then warmer weather returned to the region. According to "Yandex Weather", on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon there will be up to +8 degrees Celsius of heat. However, the temperature background in Vladivostok is expected to change already on Friday. This forecast was voiced by the head of Primgidromet Boris Kubai.
According to him, now the air mass over Primorye is changing from cold to warmer, because of this it became warmer. All this will change on Friday, as a new low-active atmospheric front will approach the region. It will bring snow in some areas, as well as lowering of thermometer readings.
The next deterioration of weather in the Far East is expected on Monday, November 25. The southern cyclone, which will originate over the Yellow Sea, will bring precipitation and worsening weather to Vladivostok. At the same time, wind strengthening, rain, snow and ice are expected.
