In the program of celebrations in 2025 - more than 170 events only at the federal level, reported November 19 Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova. According to her, the upcoming celebrations will be the largest for all past decades. On November 19, the logo of the 80th anniversary of the Victory was presented. How to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War
In the main military-historical complex of Russia - the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill - November 19 presented a detailed plan of events that will be held in 2025 in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II. Vladimir Putin issued a decree on the celebration of the anniversary in 2023. Since then, Russia has been actively preparing for this date.
Only at the federal level it is planned to hold more than 170 major events, and the program is still being supplemented. Among them - a military parade on Red Square on May 9, a reception on behalf of the President with a concert, festive fireworks. In addition, it is planned mass improvement of military graves, search operations in places of military operations, reburial of remains of the dead, exhibitions with unique documents from archives.
- Undoubtedly, the 80th anniversary of the Victory will be the most important event of the coming year. The anniversary will revive the memory of what happened in those years, preserve the continuity of generations and traditions associated with this holiday. May 9 is a holy date for each of us, a kind of code of national identity, - said the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, who heads the working group of the organizing committee for the preparation of events.

According to her, this celebration will be the largest for all the past decades. The main platform of cultural and educational events in 2025 will be the Victory Museum. Here will open a large-scale exposition "The Road to Victory", dedicated to the bravery of soldiers of the Red Army. It will tell not only about the exploits of heroes, but also about the fates of ordinary soldiers who made an invaluable contribution to the final victory, will reveal the nature of mass heroism of Soviet soldiers.
Other major projects include the creation of a sculptural composition "Monument to the Victorious Warrior" for the memorial complex "Northern Facet of the Kursk Bulge". The memorial will rise above the "Lake of Tears" to commemorate the feats and hardships of wartime. Its silhouette will be reflected in the water surface, forming the image of an arrow, and the Eternal Flame will burn in the center of the monument.
Rosarkhiv will present a large-scale historical and documentary exhibition "The Great Patriotic War, Documents and Artifacts" in 2025. A bright event of the jubilee year will be the V International Festival of Right Cinema: more than 250 films, including those from BRICS and CIS countries, will be selected for participation. The National Drama Theater in St. Petersburg will present a video about Alexandrinsky's war years, an exhibition of unique photographs and documents. The Bolshoi Theater is preparing an exhibition "War and Music", its tour is planned in Samara - former Kuibyshev, where the theater worked during the years of evacuation.
Separately, Olga Lyubimova announced the launch of the official website of the celebration - may9.ru, where you can follow the poster of events, watch movies about the Great Patriotic War and read articles about the most important military operations from November 19. In addition, we should expect traditional actions, such as "Candle of Memory", "Garden of Memory", "St. George Ribbon" and "Immortal Regiment", in one format or another.
Volunteers will also help with the planned events.
- Every day we will provide assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Everyone will be able to take part in the improvement of memorial sites and war graves, graves of heroes, which for various reasons can no longer be cared for by their relatives and friends, - said the executive director of the public movement "Victory Volunteers" Anastasia Ryabova.
In total, the movement intends to attract more than 500 thousand volunteers to organize commemorative and solemn events: they will also help to accompany parades in the regions and, of course, the main Victory Parade on Red Square, said Olga Zanko, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Development of Civil Society and chairman of the "Victory Volunteers". For this purpose, training centers for the volunteer corps are already being opened all over the country. They will launch an educational block with online and face-to-face courses that allow them to better understand the significance of the events of the war, its consequences and lessons.
- Centers abroad are beginning to open, for example, already in Turkey, South Korea, Moldova. We plan to involve more than 60 countries. This shows the desire of the peoples of many countries to pay tribute and gratitude to the defenders of the world from Nazism, - said Olga Zanko.

It is noteworthy that this very day was chosen for the presentation of the program and the Victory logo, because 82 years ago - on November 19, 1942 - at 07:00, the Red Army launched Operation Uranus with artillery fire and Katyusha volleys. It marked the beginning of the defeat of Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad, which became a turning point in the Great Patriotic War.
- "Motherland is calling!" - is an image calling her sons and daughters to the battle with the enemy. The monument has become a symbol of the indestructibility of the spirit of our people. This logo will become a symbol of unity, inspiration and fortitude, which are very important for our society today," she emphasized.
The victory in the Great Patriotic War should forever remain in the memory of the people and all subsequent generations. This world conflict claimed the lives of 27 million Soviet citizens. "If every dead person is honored with a minute of silence, the world will be silent for more than 50 years," concluded Vladimir Mashkov.
