Matrona of Moscow is one of the most revered Russian saints of the 20th century. According to legend, she was born blind, but she had a different kind of sight: Matrona saw people's souls, their past and future. It is believed that Matron of Moscow saw not only the events of the coming years, but also the distant future. So, for 2024, the saint allegedly predicted Russia severe trials and disasters.

"If the Russian people lose faith in the Lord, the disasters will not take long to come. The whole world, states will turn away from Russia. Other nations will face a difficult choice: the cross or food, daily bread," says one of her prophecies.

Many believe that the seer was referring to the economic crisis and famine that may befall some states. At the same time, the saint also mentioned a strong spiritual leader who would lead our country through difficult times.

Matrona of Moscow is also credited with the prediction that in 2025 "the wheel of time will turn to a bright road", Russia will find new allies in the East and there will be a time of stability and prosperity.

In addition, Matrona allegedly foresaw the death of many people in the 21st century, which, however, will not happen because of fighting.

"Millions will be overtaken by doom, but without a terrible war. At night the earth will be covered with human bodies. But in the morning, the fallen will come to life and rise. All mankind will be reborn to new life," the prophecy says.

Some interpreters suggest that it is not about physical, but about spiritual death, which will be followed by rebirth.

What predictions of St. Matronushka have already come true

St. Matrona was born in 1881 in the village of Sebino in the Tula region. The girl was born without eyeballs, and her eyelids were tightly closed. According to legend, the parents of the future seer wanted to give her to an orphanage, as they had no money to support another child. However, shortly before the birth of the girl, her mother saw a dream in which a blind white dove sat on her hand. It is believed that after this sign, the girl was decided to be kept in the family.

When Matrona turned 18 years old, her legs failed. However, the girl did not grumble at fate. Instead, she began to help her fellow villagers, healing their ailments and seeing the future.

It is believed that Matrona made her first major prediction at the age of 13. She took a large bird feather in her hands and plucked it, saying that the same thing awaits Emperor Nicholas II. In 1917, the emperor was overthrown, and the following July he was shot with his family.

Matrona was prescribed other predictions, including the outbreak of the 1917-1922 Civil War and the devastation of Orthodox churches that would follow.

"They will loot, ravage churches and persecute everyone. And then they will abandon everything, run away. No one will need the land. <...> There will be few believers, there will be no one to serve", - said the saint.

According to legend, Matrona foresaw the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Five years before the Nazis invaded the USSR, she said that soon in a terrible war will die many people, but Russia will win.

There is also a version that in 1950 the saint predicted the death of Joseph Stalin. In addition, she is considered the author of the prediction about a certain Michael, who will try to change life in the country with the best of intentions, but will fail. Interpreters believe that here we are talking about Mikhail Gorbachev and perestroika.
