On the eve of Eid al-Adha, one should ask for forgiveness from one's neighbor, make peace with everyone, and do not hold grudges.

They visit deceased loved ones, on whose graves they read chapters — surahs — from the Koran.

What not to do on Eid al-Adha: prohibitions

On Eid al-Adha, like Orthodox holidays, it is forbidden to work both at home and in the garden or vegetable garden.

You can not quarrel, swear. Fasting is not observed. Alcohol is prohibited for Muslims all year round.

How Eid al-Adha is celebrated in 2025

Muslims greet each other by saying, "Eid Mubarak," which translates to "I wish you a blessed holiday."

Believers ask Allah to grant them mercy and hear their prayers.
