Trump promised to ban the term "artificial intelligence"
The term "artificial intelligence" will be banned in American documents and other official materials. This was announced on October 27 by US President Donald Trump.
"In the near future, we will officially ban the use of the term "AI/artificial intelligence" in all relevant documents and everything else due to its inaccuracy," he wrote on his Truth Social network.
It is planned to use the word "superintelligence" instead of this concept. However, the American president did not specify whether any sanctions were awaiting violators.
On September 30, Trump signed a decree according to which the American authorities should use the term "superintelligence" instead of "artificial intelligence" in official documents and public communications. The document says that government terminology "should reflect the transformative nature of technology and the limitless prospects it creates for the American people," so the word "superintelligence" is more appropriate.
