In the Far East, truck screening times will be reduced at five checkpoints. The corresponding instruction was previously given by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This was discussed at the All-Russian meeting with the heads of customs and customs posts, which was held by Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Alexei Timofeev.

On behalf of the President, the target for the typical time of inspection at the border is 10 minutes. First of all, five checkpoints located in the Far Eastern region should reach this indicator, and then the process will be scaled up, Timofeev said. It is the responsibility of each manager to work out how to achieve this goal next year.

A similar task is included in the updated Strategy for the development of the customs service until 2030. This involves the introduction of new technologies in order to increase the speed of passage through each checkpoint, the quality of verification of declarations and the timely receipt of funds to the budget, said the deputy head of the Federal Customs Service, IA AmurMedia writes.

Earlier, Putin called for speeding up the modernization of checkpoints in the Khabarovsk Territory on the border with China. He announced this at a meeting with the head of the Federal Customs Service, Valery Pikalev. He informed the Russian leader that infrastructure projects are being implemented in the region, and the renovation of checkpoints according to the current plan should be completed by the end of 2030. "2030 is a very long time. We need to accelerate there, the flows are big," the head of state stressed.
