In Russia, on the basis of the Institute of Educational Content, Methods and Technologies named after Lesneva will create a Center for the study of artificial intelligence in schools. This was announced on October 20 by Maxim Kostenko, head of the Institute.

"Minister of Education Sergey Sergeyevich Kravtsov decided to form a center for the study of artificial intelligence in school education on the basis of our institute in the context of Russian reality," Kostenko said in an interview with TASS.

Currently, according to Kostenko, a regulatory act is being developed that should regulate all aspects of the use of neural networks in educational institutions. In addition, the institute's specialists will provide methodological support to domestic companies that develop sovereign neural networks.

On October 10, the press service of the Ministry of Education reported that a mandatory course on artificial intelligence will be introduced in Russian schools from the new academic year: the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has already begun training teachers. It was specified that 250,000 teachers will be trained — almost a quarter of all teachers in the country.
