The missing nurse was found dead in the basement of a house in Orenburg
On October 14, two nurses with multiple stab wounds were found in the basement of a private house on Nevelskaya Street in Orenburg. One of them, 47-year-old Venera Yuldasheva, died before the arrival of doctors.
Next to the unconscious victim was her 53-year-old colleague Lilia M. The woman had 18 stab wounds, after which she was hospitalized.
Yuldasheva worked as an anesthesiologist nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit of Orenburg Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2. The woman disappeared on October 9 after taking her daughter to school in the morning and stopped contacting her.
The next day, the nurse did not show up for her scheduled shift. Her relatives, colleagues, police and volunteers from the Orenspas search and rescue team joined the search for her.
According to local media, shortly before her disappearance, Yuldasheva withdrew a large amount of money from her account, so law enforcement officers initially considered, among other things, the possibility of fraudsters' influence.
According to the preliminary version, Lilia could have inflicted fatal wounds on Yuldasheva and then injured herself. This version has not yet been officially confirmed, and the Investigative Committee is identifying the person involved in the crime.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). Investigators examined the scene, ordered forensic examinations and are investigating the circumstances of the second woman's injuries.
