Protests by high school students and students continue in Paris. The participants erected barricades and set fire to garbage cans. On October 14, correspondent Anastasia Rikeza shared information from the scene.

"The police dispersed the protesters with tear gas today, <...> one car has already burned down. So far, we do not see what damage has been caused to the city, but the situation remains tense," she said.

Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd. On Vauban Square, protesters hurled rocks and bottles at security forces. As a result, one car was completely destroyed by fire.

The mass demonstrations of students began on September 29 and covered the whole of France: students demanded to improve the learning conditions, change the overloaded schedule and solve the problem of the shortage of teachers. On October 5, French authorities closed up to 500 schools across the country due to mass student protests.

On October 13, the French BFM TV channel reported that French police had begun using tear gas against participants in the school protests raging in the country. The TV channel, citing data from the country's Interior Ministry, reported that during a new outbreak of protests by high school students in France, about 161,000 demonstrators took to the streets, including 41,000 in Paris.
