The Bank of Russia plans to consider the possibility of permanently securing loan benefits to protect critical infrastructure from aerial threats. Elizaveta Danilova, director of the Central Bank's Financial Stability department, told reporters in the State Duma on October 13.

This is how she answered the question of whether the current exemptions could become indefinite.

"We plan to make appropriate changes to the regulation," Interfax quoted Danilova as saying.

In September, the regulator allowed banks to apply reducing coefficients when calculating credit risk on loans to finance projects to protect critical infrastructure facilities. Also, for such credit requirements, it is allowed not to apply increased capital requirements for commercial banks. These measures are valid until the end of 2026.

Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, said on September 17 that the government would help businesses offset the cost of protecting important facilities. He stressed that support measures should be linked to specific investments by enterprises in improving the sustainability of production.
