- A school with an IT training ground was built in the Dmitrovsky district of Moscow
A new 800-seat school has appeared on Dmitrovskoye Highway near Bolshoy Angarsk Pond, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his channel in the Maks messenger. She has already accepted her first students this year.
"The four-storey building with an area of almost 14 thousand square meters was built as part of a large-scale investment project (IAP). The building has an IT training ground, laboratory and research facilities, a media library, and spaces for sports and creativity," Sobyanin wrote.
A wide ring road was built in the surrounding area for fire equipment, lawns and shrubs were planted, the mayor said. Ramps and anti-slip coverings have been installed for students with limited mobility. The windows for the school were supplied from an enterprise in Podolsk, and the metal structures were supplied from St. Petersburg, he said.
In total, five educational facilities have appeared in Dmitrovsky district since 2011, Sobyanin recalled. According to the mayor, the construction of social facilities in Moscow corresponds to the goals and initiatives of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
Earlier, Sobyanin announced the opening of a school for 1,2 thousand students in the Solntsevo district. The building at 8A Yulian Semyonov Street in Solntsevo district has become part of a developing educational cluster. A school and two kindergartens are already operating nearby. The school has equipped classrooms, spaces for chess and watercolor painting, a choreography room, a media library and a roboclass. The facade of the building is made using colored hinged panels and large glazing.
