On October 10, the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that any vessel in the Strait of Hormuz that turned off navigation systems and automatic identification would be considered a hostile object.

"Any vessel in the Strait of Hormuz that has disabled navigation and identification systems will be classified as hostile," Tasnim news agency quoted a statement on its Telegram channel.

It clarifies that decisive and harsh actions will be taken against any vessel.

From the joint declaration following the videoconference of the G7 leaders on October 2, it follows that the leaders of the G7 countries demanded the immediate and complete restoration of freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The G7 leaders condemned Iran's ongoing attacks on neighboring countries and accused Tehran of violating international trade, energy security and the global economy.
