The situation at the Zaporizhia NPP continues to be complex and multi-vector. This was announced on October 11 by Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev.

"The situation at the Zaporizhia NPP continues to be difficult and multi-vector. The main focus of attention is now focused on negotiations on the establishment of silence regimes, in which, in addition to Rosatom, representatives of law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the IAEA are participating. Task number one is the repair of electrical equipment located on the territory of the Zaporizhia thermal power plant and providing electricity transmission from the Ferroalloy line to the nuclear power plant," Likhachev said.

According to him, the systems are in serious condition, attacks from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue constantly, so repairs in such conditions are impossible, and it is impossible to send employees under fire. He expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to agree on a temporary ceasefire.

Likhachev called the second task the repair of individual elements of the Dneprovskaya line, which has been idle since March. He recalled that the Russian side completely repaired its part back in June, and Kiev postponed work on its own under various pretexts. The head of Rosatom expects that in the near future it will be possible to agree on the parameters for the speedy restoration of the line.

According to him, the situation at the nuclear power plant itself is generally working. The staff maintains their composure and fighting spirit, despite the incessant attacks on transport and the road connecting the NPP with the Energodar.

The city, as Likhachev noted, continues to live and work in conditions of constant shelling. He cited two facts: on October 9, a drone destroyed a grocery store along with goods, and on October 10, a kamikaze drone detonated in the immediate vicinity of medical unit No. 145, aiming at the food hall.

Likhachev stressed that Rosatom continues to support the city by all means, helping with the delivery of food, building materials, repairs and financial assistance. He called the NPP and Energodar a priority task.

In addition, the head of Rosatom said that the expansion of the team continues at the Bushehr NPP site in Iran. Nine more employees arrived the day before for scheduled preventive maintenance of the operating unit No. 1. The total number of Rosatom's engineering and technical staff at the site has reached 135 people, all of whom are involved in work at three facilities - two under construction and one operating power unit.

Likhachev said on September 20 that the Rosatom state Corporation had completed an additional supply of diesel fuel to the Zaporizhia NPP. According to him, the delivery of fuel carries risks for the safety of participants. One of the caravans was recently attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, killing two Russian soldiers.
