The owner of a beauty salon in Chita who abducted the girl received seven years in a penal colony.

The Ingodinsky district court of Chita (Zabaykalsky Krai) sentenced a 35-year-old beauty salon owner who abducted a girl who refused to meet with him and held her. This is reported by the regional prosecutor's office.

It was established that on February 14, a man invited a 20-year-old girl whom he had met the day before to his beauty salon. There he tried to find out why she refused to meet with him. Having received another refusal from further relations, he began threatening her with a knife, forcibly took her out of the salon, put her in a car and transported her to his apartment.

On February 15, the girl managed to free herself with the help of friends. According to ChitaMedia news agency, seizing the moment, she managed to call, they came for her and released her.

The court found the man guilty under clauses "c, d" of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abduction of a person with the threat of violence dangerous to life and health, using objects used as weapons") and sentenced him to seven years in prison to be served in a high-security penal colony.

In favor of the victim, 600 thousand rubles of moral damage were recovered from the resident of Chita. The court also confiscated his Subaru Impreza car, in which he took the girl away, as well as more than 3.6 million rubles. The latter amount is equal to the cost of the apartment in which he held the stolen one and which he urgently transferred to relatives during the investigation.

The man never admitted his guilt, claiming that he was not going to kidnap the girl.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that a court in Chita had chosen a preventive measure for a 35-year-old man who had shot his roommate in the head. The crime itself occurred on October 3 in an apartment in the Ingodinsky district of the city.
