A wild bear trashed a guest house at the Taiga tourist base in Tuva. About this on October 9th the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tyva reported.

"One of the bears entered the guest house of the Ski Federation and trashed it," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

Police officers strongly recommended that local residents and tourists adjust their routes and completely exclude trips to the specified forest area until the situation normalizes.

From the beginning of August to September 15, 2026, bear attacks on humans were recorded in eight Russian regions. Earlier, a high-alert regime was introduced in the Altai Republic due to the increased number of cases of bears coming out to people. As part of the regulation of the number of predators in the region, 55 individuals were killed.
