A compulsory AI course will be introduced in Russian schools starting in 2027.

Starting in September of the next academic year, a compulsory course on Artificial Intelligence and Information Security will be introduced for students in grades 5-11. This was announced on October 9 by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.

"Starting from September next year, all schools will have a compulsory course on Artificial Intelligence and Information Security," he said at the plenary session of the Innopolis Digital Days forum.
