In Japan, data of 14 million users could leak after hacking Sky Ticket
The data of more than 14 million users of the Japanese airline ticket sales service Sky Ticket could fall into the hands of third parties after unauthorized access to the company's systems. The Japanese NHK TV channel writes about this on October 9.
"Adventure, the operator of the Sky Ticket travel website, reported unauthorized access to its systems from an external source, which led to a potential or actual data leak of more than 14 million customers," the material says.
According to Adventure, as a result of the incident, the names and surnames of users, dates of birth, email addresses and phone numbers could be disclosed.
On September 28, ABC reported that hackers stole confidential data from more than 3 million current and former Pentagon employees, including social security numbers and job information. The attackers threatened to release all personal data of the FBI staff. The agency found that the official portal with the posted vacancies did not have the necessary level of protection.
