- The hacker spoke about the step-by-step work during the hacking of Ukrainian data centers
The attacks on Ukraine's digital infrastructure were preceded by a multi-stage and methodical work to establish the exact coordinates of hidden data centers. About this on October 7th in an interview with Izvestia, the pro-Russian hacker PalachPro told.
"The work on Ukrainian data centers has been carried out for a long time, systematically and methodically. It was a multi-stage story that took a long time. As a result, it was possible to confirm that a number of large objects on the map turned out to be Ukrainian and Western data centers. They contained documents, key information and software used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense [of Ukraine]," he said.
The hacker said that as a result of his actions, the coordinates and technical documentation of the classified facilities "Dinova", "Barkova", "Vola", "VNED", "DTK", as well as the server capacities of the Giga family were revealed. The hacker explained that the information received also contained data on backup systems, mail servers of the military department, as well as the internal structure of data centers, including the location of video surveillance cameras and fire extinguishing systems.
A day earlier, PalachPro reported hacking of a number of data centers in Ukraine. As a result of the operation, access was obtained to classified documents of the Ministry of Defense of the country and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The hacker clarified that access was gained to the resources of the DeNovo, Parkovy, WNET, TTK sites, as well as objects of the Giga, Volla and other structures families. The preparation for the operation took a long time and required methodical processing of each target.
