The Intercept reported serious damage to US bases in the Middle East.
The damage caused by strikes on American military bases in the Middle East has turned out to be so significant that the United States may not restore its previous level of military presence in the region. This was announced on October 6 by The Intercept portal.
"At some key bases, the activities of the US Armed Forces were "radically disrupted," the article says.
According to the portal, dozens of American military aircraft were damaged or destroyed during the conflict. Among them are four F-15 fighter jets, 12 KC-135 tanker aircraft and 30 MQ-9 Reaper attack drones. The consequences of the attacks affected the work of key American military installations in the region.
On September 15, CBS TV channel published photos of the destruction at American military installations during the conflict between the United States and Iran. The images show damaged buildings, military aircraft and other infrastructure. One of the soldiers told CBS that the American bases had suffered significant damage, which, according to him, had not been made public.
CBS reported on September 10 that Iran had shot down about eight American F-15 fighter jets and an A-10 attack aircraft at the Muwaffaq Salti airbase in Jordan. It was noted that the F-15 suffered minor damage and was subsequently returned to service. The A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft suffered more serious damage and lost a wing.
