A robot for the treatment of extensive wounds was presented at BIOPROM-2026
A robotic complex for wound treatment was presented at the BIOPROM-2026 forum. The technology has already been tested at the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after Academician N. N. Burdenko, and the complex is currently undergoing registration, Rostec State Secretary Sergey Tsyb told Izvestia on September 5.
"This is the first such complex that has undergone preclinical animal studies and a clinical experiment at the Burdenko Hospital on a specific patient to apply a specific coating based on, among other things, living human cells to heal extensive wounds in humans or a specific wound surface on human skin," Tsyb told correspondent Vladislav Bogat..
According to him, the complex was created jointly with partner ROBOPRO based on the DOKA robot with the participation of RT-Business Development holding. The technology has shown good results, and its industrial production and deliveries to Russian clinical institutions are planned to begin after registration next year.
The forum also presented augmented reality technology for surgeons, which allows using CT, MRI and other patient-specific research data during surgery. In addition, Rostec has shown a new vaccine for adult revaccination against whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus, which is planned to be produced in Perm with a capacity of up to 5 million doses per year.
Oleg Belozerov, the company's CEO, announced on September 16 that the world's first robot conductor would soon start working on Russian Railways trains. In his opinion, humans will control a large number of robots, but human decision-making will remain.
