Starting from October 15, the Moscow Department of Transport will oblige couriers to take tests on their knowledge of traffic regulations and work standards. This was announced on October 5 by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.

"The next stage is the introduction of mandatory testing in the CIS ART system. Passing it will confirm that every employee knows traffic regulations well and understands responsibility to pedestrians," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, more than 135 thousand couriers work in the capital. Testing remains voluntary until October 14, but from October 15, delivery services will not be able to allow employees who have not completed it to work.

It is specified that the issues will relate to safe driving, compliance with the speed limit, rules of movement on bicycles and means of individual mobility.

Knowledge of the rules of delivery, service ethics and requirements for the appearance of the courier and his transport will be checked separately. To pass the test successfully, you must correctly answer at least 80% of the questions.

In October, it was reported that fees from the Platon system and fines for traffic violations will bring a total of 612 billion rubles to the budget by 2029. The draft of the country's main financial document assumes that in 2027 revenues from fines for traffic violations will amount to about 55.7 billion rubles, in 2028 they will increase to 57.8 billion rubles, and by 2029 they will grow to 60 billion rubles.
