In Lipetsk, a drunk driver who killed a girl was arrested for two months

The Levoberezhny district court of Lipetsk has chosen a measure of restraint for an 18-year-old young man who got behind the wheel drunk and killed a girl. This is reported by the joint press service of the judicial system of the Lipetsk region.

"By a court decision, the detainee was given a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months," the report says.

The tragedy occurred last Saturday evening, September 26, on Asphalt Street. A Lada Priora car killed a 19-year-old girl. According to GOROD48 in the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the 18-year-old driver was drunk at the time of the accident and did not notice the girl crossing the road.

A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "a" of Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules committed by a person in a state of intoxication, which negligently caused the death of a person." The circumstances are being established.

On September 11, it was reported that a woman driving a Nissan Qashqai ran over two pedestrian children in Angarsk. As a result, a five-year-old child was killed and an 11-year-old girl was injured.
