Changing the password will help secure the banking application in case of hacking

If you receive an SMS about logging into "Gosuslugi" or a banking application, but you did not do this, you should immediately try logging into your account and changing your password. This was announced on September 27 in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"If you receive SMS messages about logging into the account of these resources at a time when you did not plan to log in, you must immediately attempt to access your account yourself and change your password," the TASS press center said.

If you cannot log in, the Interior Ministry advises you to contact the MFC or the appropriate bank without delay.

The total damage from such schemes in 2025 could exceed 1 billion rubles.

On September 24, the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, said that banks and the Central Bank of Russia are working together to solve technical difficulties in implementing the digital ruble. She also noted that the regulator does not aim to accumulate large amounts of funds in digital ruble e-wallets. This money will be used primarily for making payments.
