A stuttering gymnast won a ring exercise tournament in Paris

On September 27, Russian gymnast Ilya Zaika won the gold medal in the ring exercises at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Paris.

The Stutterer received 14.566 points for his performance. The second place was taken by the representative of Armenia Artur Avetisyan with a score of 14.533 points.

The bronze medal was won by gymnast Nikita Simonov from Azerbaijan, who scored 14,133 points. The 24-year-old Stutterer is a three-time Russian champion in ring exercises.

The day before, Stutterer became the author of a new nominal element on the rings, which received his last name. Stutterer successfully completed a new element at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Paris. It consists of lifting by force with straight arms from hanging upside down into a cross upside down.

Stutterer himself told "Izvestia" on September 26 that he was glad to have a successful debut. According to him, the preparation for its execution took about a year. In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the new nominal element of Stuttering, noted that Russian athletes invent and win no matter what.
