Zakharova pointed to the excitement after Lavrov's speeches at the UN
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is traditionally greeted with excitement after his speech at the UN General Assembly. This was announced on September 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The traditional excitement: Sergey Lavrov is greeted at the exit from the General Assembly Hall by dozens of diplomats to shake his hand and thank Russia," reads a message posted on Zakharova's Telegram channel.
The publication of the official representative of the department is accompanied by a photo in which the crowd surrounding Lavrov takes a photo of the minister.
On the same day, Lavrov said that Russia was still ready to return to the agreements reached at the Anchorage summit in August 2025. According to the Foreign Minister, the Russian side considers the results of the meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump as valid agreements. Lavrov stressed that Moscow agreed with the proposals of the American leader, but Kiev refused them.
