Border posts in Kaliningrad region will be closed for maintenance

Checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation in the Kaliningrad region will be temporarily closed one by one for technical work. This was announced on September 25 on the website of the Kaliningrad Regional Customs.

"From September 30 to October 21, 2026 from 09:00 (08:00 Moscow time) to 13:00 (12:00 Moscow time) <...> due to the planned maintenance of transformer substations and input switchgear, a complete power outage of checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation will be carried out," the publication says.

It is noted that traffic through the points will be suspended in accordance with the schedule, and the rest of the time they will operate normally.

The temporary restriction on traffic on the Georgian Military Road was lifted on September 25, and the "Daryali" checkpoint is operating normally again, the Georgian Interior Ministry said.
