Journalist Shpetle stated the differences between the lies of the media and what he saw in the DPR and the LPR

Hungarian journalist Georg Szpetle, who visited the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics (LNR and DNR), said on September 25 that Western media were spreading false information about Russia and the situation in the new regions.

"The Western press, quite obviously, distorts reality very much. As a journalist, I look through Austrian and German publications daily, and often American ones. They constantly spread lies about Russia and the attitude of the population of the liberated regions towards it," he said in an interview with "RIA Novosti".

According to Shpetle, the journalists who visited Donbas with him as part of a press tour were able to personally assess the situation and saw prospects for significant regional development. He also noted that only a few representatives of the Western media visited the new regions personally, so they can objectively judge what is happening there.

The journalist noted that during the trip he was able to personally assess the situation and communicate with local residents. According to him, he was given the opportunity to move freely around the region and choose his own interlocutors, thanks to which he was able to form his own idea of what was happening. At the same time, he stressed that he felt as free in Russia as in Budapest.

On September 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Western media were groundlessly accusing Russia of the appearance of drones on the territory of European states. Lavrov noted that the details of such incidents are not of interest to the Western side, since their main purpose is "playing information cards." The minister described a scenario of such attacks: the news is actively replicated for several days, after which it "slides" to the back pages of newspapers and disappears from the agenda.
