The bell tower in Istra was recognized as an object of cultural heritage

In the Moscow suburb of Istra, the bell tower of the Church of the Nativity of Christ was recognized as an object of cultural heritage of regional significance. The subject of protection, the boundaries of the territory and the mode of use were approved for her. The bell tower is located in the village of Yurkino.

According to the online publication "Podmoskovye Segodnya" with reference to the Main Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Moscow region, in accordance with the requirements of the security regime, it is prohibited to carry out construction work on the territory that is not related to the restoration of historical buildings. Any business activity that could cause the facility to be destroyed is prohibited.

It is also prohibited to plant and cut down trees and shrubs on the territory, change the historical layout, place parking lots, install antennas and air conditioners, and post advertisements.

The Church of the Nativity in Yurkino is one of the architectural masterpieces of the early 16th century. In 1822, His Eminence Filaret, Archbishop of Moscow and Kolomna, was asked to add a refectory and bell tower to the church. In 1823, the church was expanded with an extension.

The agency notes that the preservation of cultural heritage sites is one of the objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".

Earlier it was reported that the legendary Moscow hippodrome opened its doors again. After the reconstruction, the country's oldest running ground was presented to the guests in an updated form: the facades and equestrian sculptures on the roof were restored, the stands were put in order. The racetrack is now not just a sports facility, but a part of cultural heritage: educational projects are planned to be implemented here, to acquaint guests with the history of horse breeding and to develop children's sports.
