Teachers should set homework within the prescribed volumes and relate it to the workload in other subjects. This was announced on September 24 by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.

"It is important for teachers to pay close attention to children and understand that there are assignments in other subjects, to correlate the load. Therefore, there is a limit to the amount of hours, and homework should be set based on this calculation," Kravtsov told TASS.

According to the recommendations of the Ministry of Education, for the second and third grades, the standards for homework are up to 1.5 hours, for the fourth and fifth grades — up to two hours, for the sixth, seventh and eighth grades — up to 2.5 hours, and for grades 9-11 — up to 3.5 hours.

On September 7, Kravtsov said that the behavior assessment introduced in pilot schools for students from the second to the eighth grade would not be taken into account in current grades, nor would it affect the certificate. The Minister explained that clear criteria have been developed for the assessment, including compliance with school rules, norms of interaction with peers and adults, as well as the legality of behavior.
