According to the witnesses questioned in court, Vladislav and Evgenia often quarreled out of jealousy. Shortly before her death, Evgenia changed jobs and began to earn less, which caused another conflict between the spouses. It also became known that on the night of the incident, the girl locked the front door with three locks.

The lawyer of the actor's mother, Ksenia Yekandrova, reported that Vladislav was found to have 25 stab wounds, mainly in the neck area.

"Two people lost their lives. We just want it not to be like Vladislav was the instigator, he was to blame for everything, and Evgenia was the victim. We believe that both are to blame, and we only want to ensure that no dirt is poured on Vladislav," Yekandrova said.
