In Russia, the first batch of titanium muzzle brakes weighing less than 300 g for small arms was printed on a 3D printer. This was announced on September 21 by the state corporation itself.

"The Center for Additive Technologies of our UEC (United Engine Corporation. "In a day," the Rostec Telegram channel reported, "I produced a batch of muzzle brakes, compensators, and flame arresters from domestic titanium powder by selective laser fusion."

According to the state corporation, this technology has made it possible to create a high-quality part, reduce the weight of the product, speed up production and reduce its cost. Also, when manufactured using traditional methods, the part may often have deviations in geometry and characteristics.

"The device is attached to the barrel, extinguishes the flash, reduces recoil. It has a complex geometry – relief partitions, channels, holes at an angle," the company described the functionality of the part.

""On September 14, Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the cluster of armaments, ammunition and special chemicals of the state corporation, a member of the bureau of the Union of Machine Builders, told Rostec about the creation of a new shooting range for hunting, characterized by high accuracy: with its help, you can hit a "squirrel in the eye" even at considerable distances.
