The election results showed the failure of the West's attempts to split Russia. This was announced on September 21 by the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko.
""The West has failed once again: the results of the vote have confirmed that the idea of inflicting a strategic defeat on us, dividing us from within, splitting our society, is hopelessly doomed," she wrote in the messenger "Max".
According to her, the voter activity indicators presented by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation and the voting results indicate the solidarity of citizens. Matvienko said that in the face of external pressure and cyber attacks, Russians have demonstrated their willingness to independently determine the future path of the country's development. The Federation Council speaker also linked the election results to support for the course pursued by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Prior to this, Matvienko noted that Moscow was not interested in the opinion of Western countries about the elections taking place in Russia, while it was important for Russians themselves to be aware of the responsibility of the moment.
On September 20, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, assessed the conduct of elections in Russia, including territories near the line of contact, as worthy.
At the same time, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya noted that the results of the State Duma elections proved that it was impossible to destroy Russia and force its citizens to change their attitude towards the fate of the country. According to her, the voting activity clearly showed the unity of the people with those who serve Russia and protect it on all frontiers, which means that it will not be possible to break the country.
